STEAM Art and Spanish Integrated Summer 2018

MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 9 am to 2:15 pm

ONE ARTIST EVERY WEEK.

5 weeks of camp, July 2nd to August 3rd.

 La Jolla Elementary 07/02 to 07/20 

Dewey Elementary 07/23 to 08/03

Two ages groups from 6 to 9 & 10 to 12!

Our campers will;

  • Immerse them self in Spanish 
  • Engage their brain
  • Advance social growth
  • Promote creativity
  • Develop cognitive growth
  • Reduce stress, make friends & play new games.

 

Learn Spanish while learning about the artists , modern art history and techniques. All Spanish levels are welcomed!

Have fun & play the games we used to play and much more. Campers will do all of this while creating beautiful art work & learn Spanish in a fun environment!

Learn about Leonardo D Vinci, best known as the artist who created the "Mona Lisa" and "The Last Supper," but he was also a self-taught engineering for many years, we'll learn about his greatest inventions like the Revolving Bridge and more!

Work with numbers place value, while creating a bodegon painting like Paul Cezanne!

Alexander Calder, the best artist to learn geometry, balance, engineering and colours!

 

 

Price per week $ 275. 00 plus $25.00 material fee.

Martha Chousal Director/Spanish teacher.

Was born raised in Monterrey Mexico and came to the United States when she was 35 years old.  Graduated as Elementary Teacher at Universidad Labastida, Martha taught in elementary/middle Monterrey schools for more than 15 years before moving to San Diego with her family.  She worked in a bilingual art summer camps for 10 years. After experienced the bilingual process with her own children and the camp children, she is now very happy to team up with Lango and start this process that will give children in San Diego the opportunity to become bilingual.
