SPANISH IMMERSION ART CAMP 2017

MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 9 am to 2:15 pm

WEEK 1: JULY 10

WEEK 2: July 17

 

Learn Spanish while learning about the artists , art history and techniques!

Have fun & playing games like soccer, yoga, hide and seek, STOP, red light and much more. Campers will do all of this while creating beautiful art & learning spanish in a fun environment!

price per week $265 + $20 material fee

8:50 to 9:15 Drop off and Welcome Day with announcements  
9:15 to 10:30

Art class

  • painting a 20" x 20" canvas
this activity will take 5 days to complete
10:30 to 10:45 snack time

bring your own snack, but please nothing with nuts content.

This is a FREE PEANUTS NUTS CAMP

10:45 to 11:45

yoga my time

  • three times a week

Spanish reinforcement

  • twice a week
bring your own yoga mat if you wish
11:45 to 12:00 Lunch time Don't forget to bring a healthy lunch.
12:00 to 1:45 Play time!  
1:45 to 2:15

  • Art Project
  • recycling project

Free expression of art, recycling and creating!

Choose a project and express yourself!

2:15 Pick up please be on time

 

* What to bring every day at camp.

  • bottle of water.
  • sunscreen marked with your name (you can leave it at camp during the week).
  • lunch box packed with lunch and snacks.

Martha Chousal Director/Spanish teacher.

Was born raised in Monterrey Mexico and came to the United States when she was 35 years old.  Graduated as Elementary Teacher at Universidad Labastida, Martha taught in elementary/middle Monterrey schools for more than 15 years before moving to San Diego with her family.  She worked in a bilingual art summer camps for 10 years. After experienced the bilingual process with her own children and the camp children, she is now very happy to team up with Lango and start this process that will give children in San Diego the opportunity to become bilingual.
